Laura Janssens

Laura is a Flemish illustrator and cartoonist, best known for the autobiographical webcomic Niet Nu Laura, in which she depicts her daily life, thoughts and ideas. Humour, self-reflection and self-deprecation are central to her work. Laura has taken the two widely adored hamsters Giovanna and Philippe from her comic and brought them to life in the animation comedy series Hamsters (2023, Streamz). Laura’s writing for the series shows her non-judgmental, distinctly feminine view of the world and the people in it.
